While activity is not working anymore after last Community Edition update

Hi There,

After latest update(s), I obseved an old workflow with a While activity inside does not allow me to get inside the While activity

This is how it looks like and cannot double click on it to see what is inside

I tried to update to a newer older version the UiPath.System package but nothing happens

What I obsered is if I demote to 22.something, some activities inside my While appear on the right hand side somewhere in the Properties but I cannot expand that Properties or do anything practically

This is really weird behavior

Any ideas?

Upgrade your System package to latest possible version. I tried to replicate but it’s working fine for me.

Hi @raool90,

You need to upgrade the UiPath.System.Activities package to a higher/Latest version that is compatible with your Studio version.

I had the same kind of problem before with the Invoke Code activity not opening. Found out my package version and Studio version didn’t match. I wrote about it here: No longer able to open Invoke Code activity after update?

You can also try below steps in addition to the steps in the above link:

  1. Close Studio fully and open it again after updating the package. Just closing the file isn’t enough, the app needs a full restart to reload things properly.
  2. If it still doesn’t work, delete the old package files from %userprofile%\.nuget\packages\UiPath.system.activities, then open Studio again so it downloads a fresh copy.
  3. Better to check Project Settings, is it set to Windows or Windows Legacy? Old projects on Legacy sometimes have issue opening activities properly with newer packages.
