I think, both last two options are correct.

In UiPath, Workbook activities are generally faster than Excel activities. This is because Workbook activities interact directly with the file system, without needing Excel to be installed or opened in the background. On the other hand, Excel activities rely on the Excel application, which can add some overhead due to the application’s loading time and resource usage.

However, the difference in speed may not always be significant, depending on the size of the data and the complexity of the operations.

As mentioned in the third point, Workbook activities can be used without installing Excel on the machine, whereas Excel integration activities require Excel to be installed.

Hi,

I don’t think the second option is correct, because of the following.

  • Workbook activity is not always fast. Especially, in case of a lot of manipulation.
  • Excel activity is reliable. Rather, workbook activities may cause compatibility issues because they do not use Excel applications.
