Which activities are better? Excel or CSV?

Hi,

I am searching for some supported links regarding, which activity can I refer - Excel or CSV?
Challenges:

  1. I’ll have to do cell concatenations
  2. String manipulations for each cell
  3. Converting the file to xml.

Please suggest me a solution. I really appreciate if I can get some supportive links.
