Where i can get the 2022.10 uipath studio version installer?

Hi,
I’m recently following the Automation Developer Professional Training in the Academy and one of the main prerequisites is to use the 2022.10 UiPath studio version.

When i tried to install it, the only version available to download is the 2023.10, that has some features that are different to the course explained.

In order to follow the content correctly, the usage of the 2023.10 community ver is not the best fit. So, how can we use and have access to the version that the same course recommends?

I’m trying to follow the course contents correctly in order to attempt the exam later, so this issue should be not avoided

Community version is always up to date. If you want install the 2022.10 you can activate the Trial version and download it from download page in cloud.

Go to Admin Page > Licenses

After you activated trial, do this

Oh thats too bad that is just a trial ver but anyway i will install it because the course recommends his use and the content is about that version.

  1. Just rememeber trail version has expiry of 60 days and after that you would move to free version and not community as well
  2. In 2023.10 you can select the activities panel-> click on filter icon-> select classic and you would see old activities as well if they are being explained in course
  3. And most if the activities are same from 22.10 to 23.10…so better to learn the latest as well

It is a challenge, the community version is licenced for learning or personal use, and not professional use.
So ideally the academy would be recommending community edition since thats available to any learner, whereas the stable releases are not.

Thats super hard to keep all the training up to date with though unfortunately since the community gets regular releases and new features that are being tested out.

Its kind of one of those things where you just have to do your best and figure out the slight changes. You’d need to do this anyway since the software can change between releases so maybe it is good practice.

For me, 22.10 is not available to download from Cloud for some reason. Any ideas why?

You can use the provide link to download directly.

But honestly I think the comments made by @Anil_G and @Jon_Smith are very important and need be considering before make download of Enterprise Trial version. It is more appropriate guidance about your query

I did use the download link but would prefer to get it from Cloud. I also am not using Enterprise Trial, I actually have enterprise.

I understand and agree, but just to add idk why is not enabled the option to use older community versions as the enterprise trial does. Because that would help a lot with being aligned to the current courses and contents that they have.

I believe its relating to UiPath not wanting to support many versions on their free version.

A strong argument could be made that they should have one stable community version which matches the academy version, however that might conflict withe the goal of using the community version to test out new features so they are as stable as possible for the paid version.

At the end of the day, if you are community I think you need some flexibility and appreciation you have all these resources for learning with no paywall stopping you, if you are on enterprise then you can choose the stable release.
