When I am trying to “Indicate in Excel” , it is giving an error as “Failed to connect to the UiPath Excel Add-in.”

Hi, I have enjoyed the session. But I am facing a small problem. I have already added Excel Add-in and got success message. (Please refer attached P1.jpg file). But when I am trying to “Indicate in Excel” , it is giving an error as “Failed to connect to the UiPath Excel Add-in.” I ma using Microsoft Excel 2019 Version. Please help to resolve the issue.

I have already installed UIPath Excel Add-in.

Hi Akaitab,
I have the same issue, but with Office 365. Have you got any suggestion to fix it yet? I’ve tried different things as suggested by others on line but still no luck so far. Any recommendation would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Antoine

No I have not found any solutions yet

I could be due to uipath addin disabled in excel.
Open excel
Go to file → options → add ins
and select ui path add ins and activate it as in image. Hope it helps

Hi - i’ve got exactly same issue.
When i launch VSTO component directly, i also get these detailled error :

System.Deployment.Application.InvalidDeploymentException: File, UiPath.Integration.ExcelAddIn.dll, has a different computed hash than specified in manifest.
at Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Applications.Deployment.ClickOnceAddInDeploymentManager.DownloadAddIn(TimeSpan timeout)

Hi Ayush

I am facing a similar issue, I had installed the Excel Add in but it gives an error that I have not installed. I am not sure why I could not enable the uipath addin in excel, there isn’t the uipath option for me to enable?

click on Go button and look for the options for Uipath and check mark it. It worked for me

this is already fixed in following update that will be pushed.

when install addin make sure excel is not stuck in taks manager even if you closed it. just kill the process before or after you install the addin and try to indicate again.
