What's major difference between workbook and Excel activities

I am trying to build some automations around excel , before that I came across two sets of activities

Any major difference on thus

major difference is workbook activities doesn’t need excel to be installed in system

Basically, if you use workbook activities then you don’t need excel to be installed in your machine.
