What is the use of Create External Task

Hi everyone,

We are evaluating the functionality of Action Center in Uipath. Then we came accross with the activity Create External Task and after reading the documentation, the following aspects were not clear for me:

  1. What is the purpose of this activity? Could someone give me an use case as example?.
  2. What is the use of the property “External Tag”?
  3. How to set up the property “Orchestrator Folder Path”? With an example would be great.
  4. When we use this activity, how does a external application know that our process is wating for a particular data?. Where is the connection to that external application done?

Thank you very much for your help in advance

Sergio
