What is the purpose of DelayBetweenPagesMs in Data scraping?

I am trying to extract the data from a web site which spans to multiple pages but due to delay in next page load,i am only able to write first page data into excel file.When increasing the value of
DelayBetweenPagesMs it works fine.So i want to know about DelayBetweenPagesMs property.

What ever time mentioned here, It will wait that time and then scrape data. As you said, loading second page takes time.

The amount of time to wait until the next page is loaded.
