What is the difference between asset and storage bucket?

Anybody gives me an explanation for the above question? Both are used for storage purposes, and what else is the point which makes the differences between the two?

In Assets we can store the data of different types like text, boolean , credentials

Storage buckets are like a folder which has multiple files in it
we can store the files in the storage bucket
