What is the best way to get rid of error H505 in QuickBooks Desktop?

Perform the following troubleshooting steps and restart QuickBooks services on the server computer in order to fix the error H505 in QuickBooks Desktop:

  1. Move to your server computer.
  2. Click on the Windows Start Menu.
  3. Type “Run” into the search box and open Run.
  4. Within the Run window, type “services.msc” and then press Enter.
  5. Search and double-click QuickBooksDBXX on the list, where XX denotes your QuickBooks version.
  6. Choose Automatic for the Startup Type.
  7. Ensure the Service status is either Running or Started. If it’s neither Running nor Started, choose Start.
  8. Move to the Recovery tab.
  9. Under the First failure, second failure and subsequent failure drop-down menu, choose Restart the service option.
  10. Click Apply and then OK.
  11. Follow the same steps to check the QBCF monitor service.
