What is the best software for creating interactive product demos?

I have been looking for a better way to show off how our bots work without having to jump on a live Zoom call every single time. Usually, I just record a video, but it gets outdated so fast if the UI changes even a little bit. I am trying to find a tool that lets users click through the process themselves so it feels more hands-on than just watching a screen share.

I recently started playing around with Supademo for this because it actually keeps the documentation useful long after the first recording is done. It is a lot faster than editing video and the output looks much more professional for client handovers since they can actually interact with the steps.

Does anyone else here use this kind of interactive demo software for their technical documentation? I want to know if there are other ways to handle this for complex workflows where a static PDF or a long video just doesn’t make sense anymore.

Hey @emilyth, Supademo is an excellent choice for demonstrating how your bots work.

Instead of recording lengthy videos, Supademo allows users to click through the steps themselves. This is advantageous because it remains relevant even when your user interface changes.

Other similar tools include Loom, Guidde, and Demoboost. They all serve the same purpose—creating interactive walkthroughs instead of static videos.

Here’s why this approach works better:

  • Users can progress at their own pace.
  • It’s easy to update when changes occur.
  • It presents a more professional appearance.
  • People remain engaged for longer periods.

Best practice: Consider breaking your bot demonstration into 2-3 shorter demos rather than one long one. This helps people find what they need more quickly.

Bottom line: You’re on the right track. Keep using Supademo—it’s exactly what you need!

Thanks for the tip to break the demos into 2-3 parts. That makes a lot of sense for our more complex bot workflows. I looked at Loom too, but it is still just a passive video. The main reason I prefer the interactive route is the ease of maintenance. In RPA, a small UI change usually means a full record from scratch, so the ability to update one step is a huge win. I will stick with this for our next client handover.
