VPN Issue

Hello,

My first query and I am hoping someone can help:

  • When trying to access files that have been downloaded or opened via a VPN (e.g. team member working from home) we encounter a “File Access Denied” error
  • This error does not occur then the file is being downloaded not using the VPN

Do you know if there a way around this issue?

Thanks for your response. Please find additional information below:

Successful run

  1. Process owner downloads Excel file from source system (e.g. SAP, Oracle)
  2. Process owner saves Excel file in designated folder on Shared drive
  3. Robot copy and pastes file from target folder to new folder in Shared drive
  4. Robot opens designated file and performs operation

Failed run

  1. Process owner downloads Excel file from source system whilst logged in to VPN
  2. Process owner saves Excel file in designated folder on Shared drive
  3. Robot attempts to copy file from target folder to new folder in Shared drive
  4. Error message pop-up and robot fails

You are facing problems while copying the file to other folder and opening the file?
If yes, which method you are using?

Hello,

To copy the files we access the folder and apply a for each, so for each item inside the folder the robot copies it. We use the same method to copy all the files with the robot, the activity in UiPath is Copy file.
