Why does Verify Execution fail, when a Special Character is handled in a Type Into Activity
Issue Description
When we need to enter special characters in a text for the TypeInto Activity, we need to provide an escape character, as shown in the example below:
Required Text: Hello [UiPath]
Actual Input in TypeInto Activity: Hello [[UiPath]
As shown in the screenshot above, the text entered is "Hello [[UiPath]" and Studio Automatically selects "Hello [[UiPath]" as Verification text. However, when this workflow is executed, it ends in the following error:
Resolution
When a special character is escaped, Type Into Activity does not type the special character as an output. It leaves out the special character, as shown below:
To fix the Verify execution failure issue, update the verification field to verify the actual text without the escape sequence.
