What will the impact if I do use the studio desktop activities in the Studio web activities? There are many activities and templates are not available in studio web, why is that so?
first thing you cannot use windows related activities in cross platform
yes many templates and activities are not available..as cross platform works different than windows compatibility and any activity related to windows alone would not be present like outlook activities, local application activities etc

Studio web is not a replacement of UiPath studio it is all together is different execution model where you can optimize for cloud and api based automation.

Studio Web is not a replacement for UiPath Studio (Desktop). It uses a different execution model focused on cloud-based and API-driven automations.
Cross-Platform projects do not support Windows-specific activities, so many activities and templates are not available. Anything dependent on Window such as Outlook, local applications, UI automation, Excel Desktop, or file system activities will not appear in Studio Web.

Using Studio Desktop activities in Studio Web forces the automation to run with a desktop robot instead of serverless. Many desktop activities do not appear in Studio Web because they rely on Windows, local system access, or UI frameworks that are not supported in the web-based, cloud execution model.

Hi Rohit,
Studio Web runs in a cloud, serverless environment, so desktop Studio activities are not supported and may fail at validation or runtime.
Activities/templates that rely on Windows UI, local files, Excel, or stateful workflows are intentionally excluded.
Studio Web is for API/SaaS integrations, while Studio Desktop is for traditional RPA and UI automation.
