Using Rest in Uipath

Wanted to ask this question
Why do we need to use REST activity in Uipath

Are there any advantages and disadvantages of using REST in UIpth
Is it a good practice ?

Hi,

You would use rest to do API call used by the Robot.
The principal advantage is that the HTTP request and its wizzard is slightly more user friendly than coding.

Using REST in RPA is fine, if your Web service is not already integrated within another activity (ex: Abbyy, Cognitive pack etc…)
