Users Are Not Present In Insights

How to handle when certain users are not present in Insights when trying to give permissions to a dashboard ?

User management for Insights is done through Orchestrator. When a user clicks the Insights button, Orchestrator creates the user on the fly. After the user has clicked Insights, they will appear in the list of Insights users.

When Orchestrator creates the user, it checks to see if they have the Editor or View privilege. Depending on which permissions they have, they are added to corresponding Insights groups. Read more on Insights .


  • Add the user according to the group they are a part of (Consumer, Editor or All)

  • Alternatively ask the user to click the Insights button in Orchestrator
