Unattended bot not able to communicate with chrome web extension

Hello everyone,

I am facing one problem so hoping someone can help me.

I have unattended bot running on my RDP but for some reason bot is unable to communicate with the chrome web extension.

If I install the UiPath robot in User mode on the same machine, it works with chrome web extension however if I install in service mode, it is not able to communicate with chrome web extension.
I have installed chrome extension from command prompts and ChromeNativeMessaging service does start when I open chrome.

Does anyone have any idea around this?

Hi

I am facing the same issue, the troubleshooting says nothing about unattended robot.

Is there another way to approach this?

Welcome to UiPath community

Check out the following

  1. Navigate to this via cmd and run it with SetupExtensions.exe /chrome.
  2. Make sure your chrome tabs are closed.
  3. Try a rerun and it will be picking up the chrome page correctly.
