When I start an Orchestrator Process from UiPath Apps It Works fine first time. When the same process is invoked second time, it gives an error
Issue Description
When an Orchestrator Process from UiPath Apps is invoked first time, it works fine. However, when executed a second time, it returns an error:
"The field Input Arguments must be a string or array type with a maximum length of '10000' ".
Checking the code by putting the alert messages indicates that all arguments length are less than 10000 values.
- A successful HAR log shows the response as below:
- Failure HAR log shows the response as below:
Resolution
This issue is related to a payload size limit from Orchestrator (Here).
In arguments: Ensure that the 'In' Arguments passed while invoking the Process do not exceed the 10000-character limit
In/Out arguments: When the process is invoked first time, and if the response is greater than the 10000-character limit, the same value gets passed for subsequent process invocation, causing the process invocation to fail.
Solution Option #1 for In/Out argument
Convert the In/Out argument to Out argument if the business case does not require the In/Out argument.
Solution Option #2 for In/Out argument
Set the value for the In/Out argument in the Input Override to a blank value as shown in the screenshot below:
