Unable to find correct image tag while cleaning up old logs stored in the sf-logs bundle

Issue while finding correct image tag for sf-k8-utils-rhel

Issue Description

Performing the steps in this document, you may face below issue while running podman search localhost:30071/uipath/sf-k8-utils-rhel --tls-verify=false --list-tags:

"Error: Getting repository tags: fetching tags list: repository name not known to registry"

Also, the pod 'cleanup-logs' will go into 'ImagePullBackOff' state due to sf-k8-utils-rhel image not being found.

Root Cause

All the image references present in this document are attempting to pull images from the URL localhost:30071/uipath/sf-k8-utils-rhel, whereas the image is available in the Docker registry in localhost:30071//sf-k8-utils-rhel:[0.6,0.7]

This is the reason the script encounters an 'ImagePullBackOff' error state.

Resolution

Perform the steps below:

  • podman pull localhost:30071/sf-k8-utils-rhel:0.7 --tls-verify=false
  • podman tag localhost:30071/sf-k8-utils-rhel:0.7 localhost:30071/uipath/sf-k8-utils-rhel:0.7
  • podman push localhost:30071/uipath/sf-k8-utils-rhel:0.7 --tls-verify=false

Afterward, the script would run as an exception and perform the cleanup.
