Unable to cast COM object of type Microsoft.Office.Interop.OutlookApplicationClass - Troubleshoot Steps

Issue:
Message: Unable to cast COM object of type
‘Microsoft.Office.Interop.OutlookApplicationClass’ to interface type
‘Microsofi.Office.Interop.Outlook._Application’. This operation failed because
the Querylnterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID
'{00063001-0000-0000-C000-000000000046 failed due to the following
error: Error loading type library/DCL. (Exception from HRESULT: Ox80029C4A
(TYPE_E_CANTLOADLIBRARY)

Explanation:
I believe the issue is specific to your system and not across all the available system

Reason for such issues:
The below error message occurs due to a leftover registry key when you downgrade your Microsoft Office installation. It could be either from Office 2016 to Office 2010/2013/2007, Office 2013 to Office 2010/2007 or Office 2010 to Office 2007.

Such an issue could be also because of incomplete/corrupt installation of the MS Office and it components.

Implement a quick online repair (as it is a much simple step ) in comparison to making changes in registries.

Please find the solution below:


If the above registry changes don’t help, online repair followed by the complete installation of Microsoft office.
