UiPath Trial License Extension without Internet Connection


I’ve been using UiPath for over 2 months. I’d like to extend trial license in no internet connection environment as the trial license has been expired. I run UiPath version 2016.1.6137 and got screen saying “Renew License” and so on. I have three issues…

  1. Clicked the “Renew License” and then opened “https://www.uipath.com/contact-us” in IE, (it’s white page because of no internet), not “https://www.uipath.com/uipath-trial-extension”. Why?

  2. By using another PC which has internet connection, I’ve extended trial license successfully in the website “https://www.uipath.com/uipath-trial-extension” with email address and device ID of the PC which has no internet connection. But UiPath in the no-internet PC still showed the “Renew License” because of no internet. I couldn’t go to UiPath Registration screen. What should I do?

  3. I’ve deleted three UiPath license files in “C:\ProgramData\UiPath\License”. Finally, I could see “Start Trial” instead of “Renew License” and go to UiPath Registration screen. (Is it the right way to go to the screen without internet?) And then, I’ve got a new license key by using another PC and tried to activate with the new license key in the no-internet PC but got the error saying “-1055, Invalid certificate or receipt. License Status: Undetermined.”.

I have no choice but to ask you all. Thank you so much for your kind help!

I’ve solved this problem with the following procedure.

  1. Extend the trial License period in the following URL.

  2. Delete the directory “C:\ProgramData\UiPath”.


    • Please delete the directory again after you activated with this procedure done if you get the following error message “Certificate or receipt missing” which clearly indicates that the old License directory is sill taking precedence.
      error message example: “Activation Error. Activation failed with error: -1114. Error description: Certificate or receipt missing. License Status: Undetermined. Device ID: xxx. Computer: xxx. Username: xxx.”

  3. Generate “Request” by using “C:\Program Files\UiPath Studio\UiPath\Activate.exe”.


    • Please don’t run UiPath Studio as UiPath Studio creates the directory “C:\ProgramData\UiPath” and license files.
    • Incidentally, the “Request” of Activate.exe is different from the request generated by start screen in UiPath Studio.
    • Please keep the activation window open till all the steps are completed.

  4. Contact Support Team to receive “Server Response” with the following form.

You’ll get the wrong server response if you generate it in offline activation site like this: “ttp://www.activationportal.me/selfservice/activation.aspx?cid=6080&pid=4283&Type=1&Lang=en-US”
which is described in this site:

  1. Activate with the “Server Response” in the activation window.

That’s all.

Seems the URL “https://www.uipath.com/uipath-trial-extension” is not working now.

I am trying to extend my trail license. Could you please help me if the process got changed.
