Recently my windows (Windows 11, version 22H2) and UiPath Studio community edition (23.10) updated and now I can not open my Studio. Unfortunately, I don’t know after which version this started to happen.
When I open the assistant to verify my orchestrator status, the following message appears:
Communication with the Robot Service fails. Please try to restart the service.
But there is no service related to Robot Service as you can see.
Then, the first thing I tried after this was uninstalling and installing Studio, as admin. If i try the simple configuration, the installation finish but I can not open the Studio. Otherwise, If I try the unattended installation, I get this error
Error 1920. Service 'UiPath Update Service' (UiPath.UpdateService) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
MSI (s) (F8:B4) [15:07:10:113]: Product: UiPath Studio -- Error 1920. Service 'UiPath Update Service' (UiPath.UpdateService) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
Action ended 15:07:10: InstallFinalize. Return value 3.
I am stuck with this problem for three days! I wonder if anyone got this problem solved before.
This kind of error generally occurs when you are trying to install or update the UiPath Studio and your user account doesn’t have enough privileges to start the service ‘UiPath Update Service’ (UiPath.UpdateService). Here are two solutions you can try:
Run as administrator:
Click the right mouse button on the setup file and select “Run as administrator”. This allows the program to access the necessary system rights.
Grant administrative rights:
Open the Start Menu, then select Control Panel.
Click on User Accounts and Family Safety.
Click on User accounts.
Click on Change your account type.
Click to select Administrator, then click on Change Account Type.
Now try to re-install the UiPath Studio.
If you continue to experience issues, please reach out to your network administrator or IT department to ensure your user account has the necessary permissions to start system services.
