When a UiPath Studio Web project is owned by an engineer who has left the organization, other engineers and admins are unable to access or edit the project.
Issue Description
Projects created in UiPath Studio Web are tied to the engineer who developed them. If that engineer leaves the organization and another engineer or admin needs to access or edit the project, access is blocked until ownership is transferred.
Symptoms
- The project does not appear in UiPath Studio Web for engineers other than the original owner.
- Other engineers or admins cannot open or edit the project.
Resolution
- Log in to UiPath Automation Cloud as an Organization Admin.
- Navigate to 'Automation Ops' > 'Source Control'.
- Locate the affected project from the list.
- Click 'Edit Owner'.
- Search for and select the engineer or admin who needs access.
- Save the changes. The newly assigned user can now open and edit the project in UiPath Studio Web.
Note:
- You must have Organization Admin access on UiPath Automation Cloud.
- The project must still exist in 'Source Control' and must not have been deleted.
