we are using UiPath studio & orchestrator 2021.4.4 if i go with latest version or upgraded version will it affect the existing code which developed in 2021.4.4

If your project is in Legacy mode, you need to convert it to Windows (Modern) mode to run properly in newer UiPath Studio versions. In Studio, you’ll see an option like “Convert to Modern” when opening the project—use that, and then test everything on a project copy to ensure workflows and selectors work correctly.

You are yeaaaars past the extended support for that version. So yeah, most likely. You really shouldnt have delayed the upgrade for so long.
I anticipate it will be quite hard, you dont just have the windows - legacy to windows stuff, but in general I wouldnt be surprised to see issues.
I’d strongly suggest you stick to a more regular update rhythm once you go through this.

You didn’t mentioned the version you are planning to upgrade but if you are targeting to upgrade to 24.10 or the latest 25.10.1 then expect some breaking changes.
There is no one solution fits all here, so you will have to fix the bot wherever it breaks. Mostly we get minor issues which could be fixed by replacing activities or logics.

high chances that your code could break..there has been many changes mainly pertaining to frameowrks to the individual activity packages as well
