UiPath Studio on Windows ARM (x86 emulation?)

Hello,

Have you ever tried installing UiPath Studio and Robot on Windows ARM ?

Windows ARM is capable of demulsifying x86, so why not UiPath Studio or Robot ?

(I don’t speak about StudioX or Studio Web, but about full version of UiPath Studio)

Unfortunately, UiPath does not officially support ARM architecture on Windows.

It’s not impossible to install on, just not recommended. I saw a few threads of people that have tried it before and it worked - maybe take some guidance from this:

Hi I’ve been developing with Studio very happily on Windows 10 in a Parallels VM on an Intel-based MacBook. I’m now needing to upgrade my MacBook to a new one, based on an M1 or M2 processor. This will require install of the ARM version of Windows 11. I can’t see anything in the Hardware requirements for UiPath that says it is NOT supported on the ARM version of Windows 11. Has anyone out there had any experience of similar set-up? Thanks Steve Macaroon Associates Ltd

Are there plans for native ARM support

Was very surprised when I saw ARM isnt supported. Is there a technical reason for this beyond the effort to add this? Edit: The reason why I am asking is that Surface laptops now only come in ARM architecture so this is an increasingly important question as ARM sees an increase in adoption

Hi @nicolas.forc028 - Windows on ARM isn’t officially supported for Studio or Robot today, but it’s something we’re looking into.

Out of curiosity, are you actually planning to run UiPath on an ARM device, or is the question more exploratory? Knowing the use case helps us gauge its priority.
