UiPath Studio closes, but executor still runs and doesn’t close when completing the job

When I click on “Run File” in UiPath Studio after a couple of seconds it closes but the UiPath Executor remains open and the process still runs. When the job ends the UiPath executors is not closing and I have to force close it from the task manager to be able to run the sequence again.

Have you tried reinstalling UiPath Studio?

Hi,

Basically, UiPath.Executore.exe process is always running after UiPath.Service.UserHost.exe starts because of Preloaded executor feature.

Doesn’t the icon on the task bar disappear after waiting for a few minute?

Or disable the feature may solve this matter.

hi @Yoichi. It doesn’t disappear, if I don’t force close it, it just stays there.

Parhaps try the good old “cleanup cycle”, I have used so many times as a former system administrator :sweat_smile:

With caution!

  1. Uninstall UiPath software
  2. Delete content of %temp%-folder (use Run…)
  3. Install CCleaner and run file cleanup and registry cleanup
  4. Check for references to UiPath in %AppData%-folders and delete them
  5. Reboot
  6. Update Windows
  7. Reinstall
