UiPath Studio 2025.10.3 LTS Bug Causing Activities to Expand Infinitely

I’ve encountered a bug that breaks the UiPath Studio IDE for UiPath Studio 2025.10.3 LTS and it occurs whenever a new activity is added like Click, Check App State, or any other that has the indicate target rectangle.

It doesn’t happen 100% of the time but it happens enough that the issues occur to where it freezes the IDE and it has to be killed and have the services restarted.

If this could be explored and patched it would be really helpful as this has made development slow and difficult. We reinstalled the IDE but it did not fix the issue.

Hi @bart.m ,

This issue has been reported by multiple users on Studio 2025.10.x and is linked to the Indicate Target overlay and GPU rendering. Disabling hardware acceleration and updating graphics drivers reduces or stops the freezes. Reinstalling Studio alone does not fix it, and UiPath support is the right channel for a permanent patch.

@loginerror please help on this.

Acknowledging that we noticed this report. We will investigate the root cause as soon as possible considering the winter season break.

Hi @bart.m,

May I ask what UIA version did this reproduce with? Besides that, it would help us if you could send us a project where this reproduces and a diag tool output. We have some theories regarding what may happen, but we were not able to reproduce the bug internally yet so more information would be useful.

Hey Andreea!

Is there a way you can reach out to me in a more secure manner since I work for United Healthcare/Amedisys I would have no problem sending that to you in a more secure manner.

Please let me know what would work for you.

Just wanted to follow up on this, if there is a secure way for us to work together to address this that would be appreciated. I responded to Andreea about setting up a secure way to transfer project files for testing but have not heard back.

Please let me know if there is anything we can do to assist on our end.

Hi @bart.m. Sorry for me forgetting to update, but in the meantime we managed to reproduce internally and there should be a fix in today’s community update, 26.0.187, and in 25.10.6

@Andreea_Dumitru Thank you so much for the great news! I really appreciate the hard work you and the team are doing! Please have a wonderful day!
