Hi,
Is document understanding a specialty skill? Is it interesting and logical like RPA? Is it good to be in RPA or document understanding and Test Suite? Is DU more sought after or RPA?
Thanks a lot,

Hi @A_Learner
As per my knowledge , yeah document understanding (du) is kinda a specialty skill. it’s interesting and logical, especially if you’re into ai and data extraction. depends on what you like—rpa is more general, du and test suite are more niche but useful.

Hi @A_Learner
It blends RPA with AI/ML techniques so yes, it is interesting If you enjoy structured problem-solving, DU offers a logical flow similar to RPA but with added layers of complexity
RPA is the gateway, DU is the differentiator.

Happy Automation.
Does DU has more prospects than RPA? Or does it narrow the opportunities?
Thank you,
Document Understanding (DU) is a part of RPA, not a replacement. It actually adds more opportunities because many companies need automation for processing documents. So, learning DU will broaden your prospects, not narrow them.
Go through the UiPath Document Understanding Academy course or watch Mukesh Kala’s tutorial for a clear understanding of the topic. In his tutorial, Mukesh explains DU from the basics to advanced concepts in a very effective way, and you’ll find most of your answers there.
If you’re a beginner in UiPath, this will definitely be helpful for you.
