We’re excited to announce that ScreenPlay (formerly UI Agent) is now available in Public Preview for all enterprise license users.
What is ScreenPlay? It’s an out-of-the-box agent that helps you build automations faster and more reliably—at enterprise scale.
Get started with UI automation using simple prompts: Just describe your task in natural language, and ScreenPlay will take over the mouse and keyboard to execute actions on the targeted application—just like a human.
Make your UI automations more resilient and adaptable: ScreenPlay dynamically adapts based on context, enabling your automations to run smoothly even when applications are frequently updated, UI elements shift, or styling differs across machines.
Automate even the most complex scenarios: Leverage ScreenPlay’s cognitive capabilities, enhanced Computer Vision, and the full power of the UiPath automation platform to handle even the most complex processes.
Automate at enterprise scale: Thanks to our integrated ‘best of both worlds’ approach, you can automate enterprise processes at scale—using ScreenPlay where autonomy and adaptability are required, and classic UI Automation where repeatability and speed are paramount.
How can you get started? Explore the detailed user guide on our Documentation page: Agents - Overview
Note: To participate in this public preview, you’ll need an existing license with one of the LLM vendors supported by UiPath (see our documentation for details.)
If you have any questions or run into any issues, please reach out here or via the Insider Portal. Our product and engineering team will get back to you as soon as possible.
We can’t wait for you to try ScreenPlay, and we look forward to your feedback!
Awesome news! The UiPath UI Agent is now in Public Preview, and it’s worth checking out! This is your chance to explore the sleek new interface and upgraded features that make automation feel smoother and more intuitive than ever. Whether you’re a seasoned RPA pro or just getting started, the new UI Agent brings a fresh, faster experience. Jump in, test it out, and don’t forget to share your feedback — this is the perfect time to help shape the final release!
UI Agent and Agent Builder are two different products. UI Agent is an agent targeted at automating user interfaces, using a mouse and keyboard — similar to a human user.
I’m truly thrilled to see UiPath UI Agent enter Public Preview! This is a game-changer for building resilient, adaptable, and intelligent UI automations at enterprise scale.
Can’t wait to explore and integrate this into real-world use cases!
Let’s build smarter, faster, and more human-like automations…!
I tried to use the activity with every model in the dropdown menu.
But without success. An error message appears : [UI Agent: An unexpected error occurred while performing the semantic UI analysis.]

I already see in the log that it says “unauthorized”, but in the UI Agent activity there is no possibility to configure authentication.
By the way, we are using UiPath on-premise and not on cloud.
The application used for UI Automation is a web application that opens in MS Edge.
Thank you so much for sending us these details. Unfortunately, UI Agent is currently not available on prem. We’ll make sure to update our documentation to avoid any confusion in the future. Sorry about that.
The activity comes bundled in the preview version of the UI Automation package.
And after 25.10, of course it will be in the GA version of the same package
Trying to use it but getting error:
UI Agent: Error generating actions: UiPath LLM execution not permitted..
Please try again later and/or update your prompt, if needed.
