UiPath reading actual screen or data found in developer tool (f12)?

Hi All,

I am new to UiPath and have a few questions! Please help! :slight_smile:

  1. Is UiPath reading my actual screen or data found in developer tool (f12) when performing OCR?

  2. I have found that when I develop a bot on my office monitor (resolution 1920 x 1080) and then try to run my bot on my laptop screen (resolution 1024 x 768), it rarely works. Does resolution play a large part in success of the bot? Is it possible to standardize my resolution on both without sacrificing on the quality?

Hello!

If you are using OCR or Image Automation (Like Citrix VDI) the resolution of the screen makes a big difference. Otherwise if you are using another kind of automation you will work only with elements that not depends of resolution.
