I have installed UiPath Standalone Orchestrator v25.10.1 on-premises. My Orchestrator is currently unlicensed, and I would like to know whether a license is mandatory to create or register a machine, as I am currently unable to see any option to create a machine.
I’ve attached screenshots for reference. Any clarification would be appreciated.
hi @Muhammad_Taeyyab ,
Yes, license is mandatory for machine creation in Standalone Orchestrator v25.10.1. Unlicensed instances hide machine management options.
Solution:
- Go to Admin > License
- Enter your license key and activate (Production/Non-Production/Hybrid)
- Navigate to Tenant > Machines - option will appear
Without license activation, the feature is blocked by design.
Hi @Muhammad_Taeyyab
Yes, a license is mandatory to create or register a machine in UiPath Standalone Orchestrator. Without licensing, machine management options are not available. Apply a license through Tenant → License to enable this feature.
Happy Automation
Hi @Muhammad_Taeyyab
Yes, a license is required.
In an unlicensed Orchestrator, options related to Machines and Robots are not available. You won’t be able to create or register a machine until you activate a license (even a trial).
Once the Orchestrator is licensed, the Machines menu will appear and you can proceed with machine creation and robot setup.
