We’re thrilled to announce that UiPath IXP Generative Extraction for unstructured & complex documents (Preview) is now included in our Community plan
What is more, Community users are getting early access to it For commercial use, the capability is now in Private Preview, available only to a subset of customers for selected use cases, so don’t miss the chance to get your hands on it, learn how to use it and what it can do even before it gets to General Availability!
Ok, cool, but what is IXP?
UiPath IXP - Intelligent Xtraction and Processing - brings together our existing IDP capabilities (Document Understanding and Communications Mining) while also adding a new prompt-driven capability for unstructured, and high-complexity documents.
The ‘X’ in IXP not only represents extraction but also the growing number of diverse content, and data types supported.
Our vision is to offer a unified, single experience that supports multiple types of content (e.g. packets of different document types, incoming as email attachments). However, as we’re first focusing on offering a best-in-class solution to tackle unstructured and complex documents use-cases, for the first iteration, you’ll need to choose the right tool for different types of content.
To summarize, IXP includes now the following capabilities, optimized for different data types:
-
Structured and semi-structured documents: Our existing Document Understanding solution, available in Community for quite a while
-
Unstructured and complex documents (Preview): The new prompt-driven capability coming up now in Community!
-
Communication data: Formerly known as Communications Mining, this is your go to solution for short-form communications data like emails, workflow tickets, etc. Not available in Community at the moment.
How does it work/ How do I get started?
Being a Private Preview capability for now, we don’t have (yet!) a public User Guide, but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
We’ve prepared an IXP Community starter kit to guide you through the design time experience - from model building to publishing - as well as information about how to consume the IXP models in automations. Don’t forget to also check the Usage limits section to see what’s included in our Community offering.
As always, looking forward to hearing your feedback Let us know what works well and what doesn’t, but also what use cases you have in mind now that getting data from unstructured/ complex documents is no longer off limits!
