UiPath.IntelligentOCR Issues

Hi Team,

I am facing one issue while running process in unattended mode but the process is running fine in debug
ErrorMessage: Could not load file or assembly ‘UiPath.IntelligentOCR, Version=7.3.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null’. The system cannot find the file specified.

If anyone have any idea how to fix, Please let me know

Regards,
Soumya

@Soumya.s Please try these steps:

  1. Open Manage Packages → Project Dependencies.
  2. Check whether both UiPath.IntelligentOCR.Activities and UiPath.DocumentUnderstanding.Activities are installed in the same project.
  3. If both are present, remove UiPath.DocumentUnderstanding.Activities and keep UiPath.IntelligentOCR.Activities. UiPath specifically documents a sub-dependency conflict when these two packages are used together.
  4. Update/reinstall UiPath.IntelligentOCR.Activities. If the project also uses UiPath.OCR.Activities or UiPath.UIAutomation.Activities, update those to compatible versions as well.
  5. Save the project, close/reopen Studio, and publish a new process version to Orchestrator.
  6. Update the process in Orchestrator and run the new version in unattended mode.

@Soumya.s

Since it works in debug but fails unattended, I’d first check whether both runs use the same machine, Windows account, and process version.

The unattended account may have a different package cache from your Studio account. Check whether the required IntelligentOCR package is available in that account’s %USERPROFILE%\.nuget\packages, or in your custom package folder if you’ve configured one.

Also, confirm that Orchestrator is running the version you tested and that the robot can access the required package feeds. The Robot logs should help identify any download or permission errors.

If the package is present but its installation looks incomplete, wait until no jobs are using it, move only the affected package version folder out of the cache, then rerun so it can download again.

One detail to keep in mind: 7.3.1.0 in the error is the assembly version, which doesn’t necessarily match the NuGet package version.

Are you debugging with the same Windows account used for unattended execution? Could you also share your Studio and Robot versions?

Hi @imad-pro

Thank you for the response, and i am debugging with same windows account

Thanks,
Soumya

Hi @Dhruba_Jyoti_Kalita

Thank you for the response

My process is to redact the values in pdf and approach involved here is Digitize document and extract the data from ixp using Extract Document Data and using Redact document redacted the file, Redact document requires DOM as input, this we will get from Digitize document

Thanks
Soumya

A few things you can check:

If the unattended job is running on a different machine, verify that UiPath.IntelligentOCR.Activities is correctly available there and that the Robot can download all project dependencies.

If it is the same machine, try this:

  • Open Manage Packages and reinstall/update UiPath.IntelligentOCR.Activities.

  • Check if UiPath.DocumentUnderstanding.Activities is also installed. If yes, try removing it temporarily, as there can be dependency conflicts between the two packages.

  • Publish the project again as a new version and make sure the process in Orchestrator is updated to that new version.

  • If it still fails, clear the local NuGet/package cache on the robot machine and let the dependencies download again before running the unattended job.

Since debug works with the same Windows account, I’d mainly focus on the published package and dependency restoration on the unattended side.

Hi @Soumya.s ,

This error usually indicates that the UiPath.IntelligentOCR dependency is available in Studio during debugging but is not available on the unattended robot machine at runtime.

A few things to check:

  • Open Manage Packages in Studio and verify that UiPath.IntelligentOCR is installed and restored in the project.
  • Republish the package after restoring dependencies, then update the process in Orchestrator so the robot uses the latest package version.
  • On the unattended VM, make sure the robot can access the package feed (Orchestrator/Tenant feed or any custom feed where the dependency is hosted).
  • If you’re using a custom package feed, confirm it is configured for the unattended robot as well.
  • Check that the Robot and Studio versions are compatible with the UiPath.IntelligentOCR 7.3.1 package.

Hi @Soumya.s ,
The unattended robot cannot find the UiPath.IntelligentOCR.dll dependency. Reinstall/update the Intelligent OCR package, republish the process, and clear/re-download the robot packages.

Thanks

Hi @Soumya.s

This usually happens when the package/dependency is available in your local Studio environment but is not available to the unattended robot at runtime.

I would first check the project dependencies and make sure the same version of UiPath.IntelligentOCR (7.3.1) is available in Orchestrator/Robot environment. Also check whether the package is published along with the process and that the Robot can access the configured package feed.

Since it works in Debug but fails in unattended, I would also compare the Robot execution environment with the Studio environment, especially the package versions and dependencies.
