Hi Team,
I am using UiPath Automation Cloud Community.
Issue:
UiPath GenAI Activities connection is successfully created and its status is Connected.
However, when I open Agent Builder and add any GenAI tool (Web Search, LLM Chat, Generate Text, etc.), the “UiPath GenAI Activities connection” dropdown is completely empty.
I have already verified the following:
- Connection status is Connected
- Same tenant
- Same folder
- Recreated the connection multiple times
- Tried Chrome, Edge and Firefox
- Tried Incognito mode
- Browser cache cleared
- All GenAI tools show the same issue
Expected Result:
The connection should appear in the dropdown.
Actual Result:
The dropdown is blank.
Please help me resolve this issue.
Thank you.
Hi @Tauseer_Ahmad
Welcome to the Community
Check this below details:
- Ensure the Agent Builder project and the UiPath GenAI Activities connection are in the same Orchestrator folder/workspace.
- Verify your Community tenant has Agent Builder and GenAI Activities entitlements enabled. A connected connection alone does not guarantee it will appear in the dropdown.
- Try creating a new GenAI Activities connection in the same folder as the Agent and refresh the page.
If Solution works for you please mark as solution

@Tauseer_Ahmad
Click on the Select a connection box and show how it shows.
My DefaultTenant services are:
- Orchestrator
- Integration Service
- Maestro
- Data Fabric
Agent Builder can be opened in Studio Web, but the UiPath GenAI Activities connection dropdown is always empty.
The connection status is Connected.
Could you please verify whether my Community tenant has the required Agent Builder / GenAI entitlement enabled?
Hi @Tauseer_Ahmad / @Pierina_Villa , are the activities available outside of the Agent Builder in an RPA workflow for example?
No. The UiPath GenAI Activities are also not available in a regular RPA workflow.
Hi,
It’s been quite some time, but the issue is still not resolved.
I have tried all the suggested troubleshooting steps, including recreating the connection, verifying the tenant and folder, checking licenses and services, using different browsers, and confirming that the UiPath GenAI Activities connection status is Connected.
However, the “UiPath GenAI Activities connection” dropdown in Agent Builder is still empty.
Could someone please provide an update or let me know if this is a known issue with Community tenants or a backend provisioning problem?
Any further guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hmm I’m unable to repro in my community environment.
2 things:
-
Can you try creating a connection of another type (maybe Outlook or Gmail, etc.) and seeing if the empty connection issue also applies there?
-
Can you also try creating a new project and seeing if the GenAI connection is still empty?
Hi,
The issue has been resolved now.
Thank you very much for your time, support, and guidance throughout the troubleshooting process. I really appreciate your help.
Thanks again!
Hi,
Yes, both in Studio Desktop and in an RPA workflow, the dropdown shows all tenant connections. From what I could see today, the problem in Agents has been resolved.
Thank you so much for your excellent help.
Hi Pierina,
Thank you for your kind message — I’m glad the help was useful.
There doesn’t appear to be a new technical question in your email, so there’s nothing specific I need to troubleshoot at the moment regarding the UiPath GenAI Activities connection in Agent Builder.
If you were confirming that the issue is now resolved, that’s great to hear.
For future reference, you can also review UiPath resources here:
