Im looking to come up with an automation that will look at an excel sheet and if a row says ‘approved’, cut it out of the original, and bring it to a new sheet. I currently have it setup so it copies it to a new sheet, but I need the record deleted from the original, and preferably have the following records ‘move up’ to avoid having blank rows. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Can you create a new sheet/workbook that has all of the rows that were approved removed? Then you’d delete the old sheet and rename the new sheet. That’d be the quickest & best option.
If you have to modify based on the original sheet only, I took a stab at it. I haven’t tested anything though. ExcelExample.xaml (12.9 KB)
The way it works is that it finds the word approved, saves the row number to a list, reorders that list so it can delete rows in descending order (very important!), then finally iterates through the list to select the row in excel and delete using the excel shortcut ctrl -
