UiPath Desktop Icons keep reappearing

Hi Everyone,

Is there a way to prevent UiPath’s desktop shortcut icons (Studio and Robot) from reappearing on my desktop? Or moving around on their own?

It’s really annoying - I don’t need them on my desktop at all, and now I have to manually remove them everyday. They could even stay on the desktop, if it wasn’t for the fact, that they can’t stay in one place and their position resets everyday too. I have the “auto-arrange desktop icons” option turned off :slight_smile:

I don’t see any option to stop putting shortcuts on the desktop in the settings. I think they reset/reappear everytime I start Windows, but maybe it’s just everytime UiPath updates in the background.

Welcome to the Forum!
I believe it might be related to the update. Every time an update of fresh installation happens, these icons are automatically placed on the desktop by default. What is weird about your situation, is that it happens every day. Don’t you have any non-persistent machine or something that might cause Studio and Robot to update daily?
