UiPath Crashes when Recording

Hi,
I’m trying to record a Citrix app for a sequence. The Record bar comes up but as soon as I click anything, the whole app crashes/closes (no errors/warnings). I’ve tried the Citrix record and the Image record. Both crash. There’s an error in Event Viewer though.

It’s acting similarly to this:

However, I don’t have that particular driver on my laptop, so it’s not the same issue.

I’m running 2019.3.0 Community Edition.

Thanks!

Hi,
Is anyone able to assist? Since it’s the community edition/license, I can’t open a formal ticket with support.
Thanks!

I wanted to give an update. I ended up opening a ticket with support. Support was able to find a number of issues.

I have a Windows 10 Enterprise edition. With the Win10 build I’m on, it comes with a very bare bones .Net 4.7 (not an actual full install). My company also installs 4.5 as part of the build of our laptops/desktops.

UiPath requires 4.6 or higher to run. When I would try to install 4.6 from Microsoft, the installer would state that I already had something higher than 4.6 and would exit the installer. The same happened with .Net 4.7 (claimed it was already installed). In order to get a .Net installed, we had to install .Net 4.8 from here:

So now recording is working for me.

Hopefully this helps someone else.
