I have different device id for my previous laptop, and now this is different…Can anyone pls suggest how can I install Uipath on my new Laptop…I am in between in foundation course and my earlier laptop faced some issues and need to install Uipath on new laptop…

Hello Swati
It’s asking you that as you are initiating the instance from the download location; initiate the instance from App data/ uipath/ location and it won’t.
Additionally any package which you install from “manage package” on the right hand side of the screen in studio of community edition also will disappear if you keep on initiating the instance from the download location.

Hi,
I am trying to install community edition of UI Path 2018.2 but while activating using “Start Free” i am getting Activation Error →
(Activation failed with error: 0
Error description: Cannot use Community Edition on this machine after activating a trial or Enterprise license code. Please enter a valid license key.
License status: Device ID already activated

Device ID: ********
Computer: ********
User Name: ******)

When i tried in other server also facing the same issue with same error message and i am getting same device id’s in both the scenario.
Any Suggession?

Hi,

I’m trying to download UiPath studio. But link in the mail is broken. Upon clicking on ‘Download UiPath’ button, new tab is opened with 403 - Forbidden error.

Please help.

I am new in UP Path; please help me with below queries

What is the difference between “UiPathStudioSetup.exe” and “UiPathPlatformInstaller.exe”?
The size of exe file is 112MB and 284MB respectively.

Can you please tell me which file should I use to get it install?

Also, can you please suggest some study material for beginner?

Hi @swapnilw

The UiPathStudioSetup.exe is the Community Edition, the free version of Studio.

The UiPathPlatformInstaller.exe is what it used to be UiPathPlatform.msi. It is the Enterprise version and it also comes with the installer for Orchestrator. This is to be used only large companies.
