We’re excited to share that UiPath Cartographer, your discovery partner for turning process knowledge into build-ready blueprints, is now available in public preview.
Documenting a process usually means chasing down the people who know it, running interviews, and reconciling accounts that disagree with each other - before you can even start drafting.
Cartographer takes that on directly:

AS-IS documentation - you describe the process as it runs today; Cartographer builds a process model, extracts business rules, identifies gaps, and confirms a current-state process map.

TO-BE design - you assign an automation mode to each step; Cartographer drafts a future-state map and detailed future-state documentation.

PDD generation - Cartographer combines both states into a formatted, downloadable Process Design Document (PDD).

SDD generation - from the PDD, Cartographer builds a Specification Design Document (SDD) ready for development teams, with or without coding agents.
It’s also the first step toward a long-term goal, the Map of Work: a single, versioned, and governed definition of how the business operates. With it, specifications, sign-off, and audits all draw from one source of truth, instead of scattered documents that drift out of sync over time.
