UiPath App Deployment - Unable to change version thru Import

Hi, all,

I already described my issue in a Feedback post here:

Are the ways I described the only ways to redeploy Apps? That is, either:

  1. Update the App manually in each environment and redeploy, or
  2. Delete the previous version of the App, import the new version, and redeploy.

In my opinion, the ideal solution would be something like:

  1. Export the updated App from Development, import the new App in the upper environment, and overwrite the old version of the App with the new version.

@Joe_Matuch ,

Certainly, the current hurdle we face in app deployment is the inability to perform incremental updates when importing and exporting apps. Consequently, making modifications to your Production app and deploying an incremental version becomes challenging. If you attempt to delete the app and then re-export it, you’ll encounter version conflicts within your tenant.

In such a scenario, the solution entails removing the version from the App version section of your tenant and subsequently re-deploying the app. It’s worth noting that this is a significant concern that our apps team is already aware of. I am confident that the forthcoming features in UiPath Apps hold the potential to address this problem effectively.

Thanks
Arvind
