UiPath 26.0.203 September Community Release

UiPath 26.0.203 September Community Release

:waving_hand: Hey Community!

Here’s what’s new this month.

Studio

Studio for Mac is now in Public Preview

Studio now runs natively on Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or later, macOS 14 Sonoma or later). You can design, run and debug Cross-platform projects on your Mac and publish them to Orchestrator. Studio uses the macOS menu bar and ⌘ shortcuts. Tools › Extensions installs the UiPath extensions for Chrome, Edge and Safari.

Download the installer from the Resource Center in Automation Cloud. It installs Studio together with UiPath Assistant, which runs your automations. A few things to know during the preview:

  • Only Cross-platform projects can be created and opened. Windows and Windows - Legacy projects can’t.
  • UI automation needs UiPath.UIAutomation.Activities 26.10 or later.

It’s a preview, so tell us here what doesn’t work as you’d expect.

.NET 10 support

Studio now runs on .NET 10, and your projects can target it too. Windows and Cross-platform projects have a new Minimum Robot version setting, in the new-project dialog and in Project Settings. It sets which .NET version the project is built for:

  • 22.4: .NET 6
  • 24.10: .NET 8 (the default for new projects)
  • 26.10: .NET 10

Existing projects keep their current version until you change it. Studio Web currently supports only .NET 8 projects, so keep a project on 24.10 if you also work on it in Studio Web.

Faster switching between solution projects

Studio now keeps up to three projects of a solution loaded, so switching back to one is faster because the project doesn’t reload. Unsaved changes are saved when you switch away. You can turn this off with Fast solution project switching under Settings › Design › Save and Publish.

Delegate & Cartographer

Delegate and Cartographer now available on macOS

Download the installer from the Resource Center in Automation Cloud. They install together with UiPath Assistant and you can switch between the three of them in the app. Refer to the installation steps for details: Delegate - Installation.

Delegate

  • Simpler sidebar — Project settings now open from the sidebar’s Settings item, and Routines is a single entry that opens the Routines page.
  • Delegate tells you what a screen capture can see — When you start a recording or share your screen with the agent, each capture option now says what it captures.

Cartographer

  • Arrange diagrams yourself — Drag nodes and stages in the Diagrams tab to lay a diagram out your way. Cartographer keeps your layout, and you can reset it in one click.

Administration

  • Claude Opus 5 is available — Select Anthropic’s newest Claude model in the model picker.
  • Your organization’s models are labeled — Models your organization connects through the AI Trust Layer now show a “Your model” badge in the model picker.
  • Choose whether agents can use a stronger model — A new “Stronger models for agents” switch in the model picker controls whether sub-agents started from a chat can use a more capable, more expensive model than the chat. It is on by default in Delegate and off in Cartographer.
  • Guarded mode is now called Restricted access — Restricted access controls which files and folders the agent can use and what it can run on your machine. Your global settings and each project’s settings now use the same screen, and each project chooses whether to include your global rules. Blocked paths and approval prompts now have their own sections.
  • Admins can manage Restricted access from Automation Ops — Admins can set Restricted access for everyone and lock it so users can’t change it. They can also stop users from giving the agent access to their own folders, and pre-approve folders such as Documents or Downloads as read-only or read-write.
  • Admins can choose where new tasks are stored — In Automation Ops, admins can set new tasks to be stored Local or Remote and lock that choice. Users see it locked under Settings > General > New tasks.
  • Admins can turn off telemetry destinations — Admins can stop the apps from sending usage data to Application Insights or Mixpanel, whatever users choose in their own privacy settings.
  • New CLI health check and tenant switching — Run delegate-cli check to verify your sign-in and setup without sending a prompt. You can also choose or switch tenants in the CLI without opening a browser.

Thats so cool  really looking forward to testing this out when it hopefully makes it into Enterprise edition.
No more tedious Close project → Open project → Loading…

I’m getting alot of trouble with this update, seems alot things aren’t working smoothly between the .NET 8.0 and 10.0 versions.

Alot seem to be related to System.Private.CoreLib stuff, still trying to work out exactly what, but I hope these get smoothed out and don’t make it into the LTS version.

Hey Jon. Thanks for reporting this.
The team is already working on fixing this issue and we’ll have it all sorted out n an upcoming patch.

The issue: projects using custom libraries libraries published with 2026.0.202 or lower fail to run/debug/publish using 2026.0.203.

The workaround: if possible, republish the library from 2026.0.203 and update it in the process. This should fix the error.

If you hit these issues in a project without any custom library, please share. That would be a different case and we would need to look into it.
