the target is a CRM application and I want to search the customers by typing the link directly inside the search area , but for some reasons, I cannot indicate only the search section…

I can indicate the menu buttons from the top and then moving the mouse up, it selects the entire window :frowning:

Hi Ioana,

what StudioX version do you use?
Also from Package Manager can you please post the AutomationX package version?

From the error might be that the application card is pointing to a different app than the type into.
Delete the type into activity. Indicate again in the App Card to the CRM app then add again the type into activity and indicate the search bar.

Hi, I have Studio 2019.12.0-beta.61, with the latest AutomationX package version installed.

When opening an application card and adding a type into activity I cannot point to the search bar… only to the menu buttons. If I go up with my mouse the next recognized element is the entire window.

Can you switch to Studio, install UIAutomation package and try to do the same flow there and see if it works?
In studio you simply start a new project and add directly type into as is not needed a card or a scope activity.

I did that and it still doesn’t work. What I noticed is that in different browser, like Explorer it’s working, I can select the search area , but I would like to have it working also in Chrome…

Are you sure the Chrome extension is installed and active in Chrome?
From Tools in studiox install the extension and then in chrome access chrome://extensions/ and make sure is enabled. then restart chrome and try again please
IE doesn’t need an extension and that’s why is working.
