Type Into Save As Box

I’ve read some other posts on here about not being able to type a path into the save as “filename” box and most people are told to turn on simulate type. However, this does not work exactly as it should. I am wondering if anyone has any other solutions to fix the fact that a typing a path into the file name when trying to save something, does not actually type anything at all. Thanks.

You can set your preference and have the file get directly save to downloads folder there is an option in browsers you can set

I don’t want to save to the downloads folder if that matters. Do you have any more of a description?

You can move the file once it gets downloaded

That is true. Could you describe the process to save it to the download folder please?
