Hi All,
I am unable to find a ‘Type Into’ activity in my project window as shown in a tutorial screenshot. Other type of ‘Type Into’ activities are available but these are not working or are not having features as required by the project.
My Studio specs are-
Studio 2026.0.181-cloud.21801 - 11/20/2025
Community License
Attended, Automation Developer
User-mode Installation
License Provider: Orchestrator
Activation ID:
Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Try to downgrade the UiPath.UiAutomation.Activities package to the oldest stable version that is available from Manage Packages and retry.
If it doesn’t help, use the same version of UiPath.UiAutomation.Activities package that was presented in your tutorial and retry.
Keep in mind that in the tutorial it was a Windows-legacy project, but in Studio2026.0.181-cloud.21801 you cannot work anymore with such project compatibilities, so some of the old functionalities may be missing or were changed.
Try to install the oldest stable UiPath.UiAutomation package and test again.
If it still fails, use the same package version shown in your tutorial
FYI : remember that new Studio versions no longer support Windows-Legacy projects, so some old features may not work anymore.
As described to you earlier in this thread, it depends on the version of the UiPath.UiAutomation.Activities you have installed on the project.
I don’t see why the newer one is a problem for you. Its a good idea to get used to small differences between the versions as the activities are frequently updated.
@musmanq currently I think there is no such way to apply property of one project to another project directly but you can apply project setting of one project manually by checking project setting panne;l
@Jon_Smith
I love to adopt newer versions but the problem is that my tutorial faces hinderance due to the difference in activities. I am a beginner and want to follow some ‘DIY’ projects to get familiar with UiPath. Anyhow, thanks to all of you for your support.
Sure, I get that, but I’m saying that figuring out this differences is an important skill to learn, so you can consider it part of your tutorial to learn such things, why activities can have these differences and how to adapt. If you cannot handle the differences you are going to struggle longer term.
