How to troubleshoot AS Installation Failure Due to Auditd?
Issue description:
During the installation and configuration UiPath Automation Suite, the following errors occur during the Infra install/Upgrade:
"Failed to load audit rules. Verify if /etc/audit/rules.d/audit.rules has valid entries"
"SCRIPT EXITED ON ERROR CODE: 1"
"Infrastructure [Failed] Installing and configuring Kubernetes"
"The certificate key for vx1095834 (port: 22) is not valid. (The host certificate file (ca_keys) is not found)"
Troubleshooting Steps:
-- Verify auditd Configuration
- Check if the audit rules file has valid entries:
- cat /etc/audit/rules.d/audit.rules
- Try loading the rules manually:
- augenrules --load
- If errors appear, verify that the rules file is correctly formatted and does not contain invalid entries.
-- Check for Puppet Configuration Overwrites
- In some cases, Puppet may be running and overwriting the backlog_wait_time configuration in /etc/audit/audit.rules.
- Verify the value set in the file:
- grep backlog_wait_time /etc/audit/audit.rules
- If incorrect, manually update the file and reload the auditd rules:
- echo "-b 8192" >> /etc/audit/audit.rules
- augenrules --load
-- Review and share Installation Logs
- Check the logs in the specified path for further details:
- cat /opt/UiPathAutomationSuite/2024.12/installer/Infra_Installer/install-<timestamp>.log
- If the issue persists, feel free to reach out to Product Support via a new Case along with the installation logs,
