hello again, I’m looking for an incomplete file that is in the training, attached.
Workflow analyzer in Studio (v2024.10)
“Using the workflow analyzer in studio”
The file provided for download is attached, but appears to be empty - not entirely, “Read Range” looks like it should work, but double clicking on “open RPA challenge” does none of the things depicted in the training video, it is, empty.
Consequently, the first step in the training fails, as there are no errors to be found.
Have I missed something or can someone link me the correct file?
Hi @Nick_Scott ,
I checked the project and noticed that the project.json references Main.xaml, but the workflow file itself does not seem to be included in the downloaded package. Because of that, the exercise appears empty and Workflow Analyzer has nothing meaningful to analyze. I would recommend re-downloading the exercise package. If the XAML files are still missing, contact UiPath Academy support, as the training asset may be incomplete.
Hi @Jasmin_Bar
that’s interesting, the main.xaml is there for me, assuming that’s what you mean by the workflow file. I don’t see any references to another xaml file in the project.json.
Your suggestion to re-download the file intrigued me, so I did, but unsurprisingly, it’s the same.
I have logged a message with academy support, but frankly, I’m starting to lose track of all the issues.
Is it working? really? are ya sure? When you look in the “open rpa challenge” what do you see? Do you see the list of activities shown in the demo video, or a single empty activity like me?
When you click the analyze project button, does it bring up an error as it should, or does it just report 4 issues:
Multiple Flowchar Layers
Min Log messages
prefix datatable variables
automation hub url
This may be related to the training file rather than the Workflow Analyzer itself.
I would first download EnterUserData.zip again, extract it completely to a local folder, and open the extracted project in UiPath Studio 2024.10, since the training is based on that version.
Also check whether EnterUserData.xaml contains the activities shown in the training. If the workflow is still empty after a fresh download and extraction, the training package may contain an incomplete/outdated file. In that case, the best next step would be to report it through UiPath Academy/support and request the correct EnterUserData.zip.
As a last check, compare the project files inside the ZIP with the files shown in the training video to confirm whether the required workflow is actually included.
I haven’t tried, but thanks for your response, I will get to it … though I think there is a deeper issue, as there is obviously a bug in studio that needs fixing.
I wrote to support about it and they responded saying to ask here
So I told them I was recommended to contact them from someone here … I’m told the case is ongoing
I hope the issue gets resolved soon. Since you already have an ongoing support case, hopefully the UiPath Support team can identify the root cause of the Studio issue.
Please keep us updated if you find a solution. It may also help others facing the same issue.
thanks for your response, but I’m not quite with you … the issue is that I can’t see ‘inside’ the open rpa challenge workflow - although I can if I export it as explained above.
We have tracked the issue down to a bug in the latest version of studio - it works as expected in ver 24.
