I believe that quite some time ago, individuals could use the Community Edition for free. When I attempted to use it again after a long time, I received a message saying that the license key could not be found, so I reinstalled it.
Now, when I try to connect to the tenant, I see the message:
“Connection failed. Unattended robot for user key ********* could not be found.”
I am unsure how to proceed. I would appreciate your guidance on whether the licensing model has changed and I can no longer use it, or if there is an issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Please enable the advanced user license management setting under Automation Cloud management - settings. Then, in management - licenses, explicitly assign the Automation Developer license to the relevant user and try to connect again from UiPath Studio.
First of all, I couldn’t find the setting for “advanced user license management”.
Regarding licenses, I couldn’t find the Automation Developer license. The only one I was able to assign was the Express User.
Previously, it was possible to use the Community Edition for free as an individual, but now it seems that it cannot be used for free, and a license purchase is required?
I’ll jump in from the side. The Community Edition, which is still available for non-commercial users, is free of charge. I also use the Community Edition for free.
First of all, I couldn’t find the settings for “Advanced User License Management.”
Since the English term is Advanced, I’ve referred to it as 冒頭 (kōdo), but it’s actually “Detailed Settings.” Is there a configuration for User License Management at the link below?
Also, what plan is shown on the license screen? If it’s the Free plan, the Automation Developer license cannot be used, so if this is necessary, you would need to create a new organization under the Community Plan.
As you pointed out, I was on the Free plan.
By creating an organization under the Community plan as you suggested, I was able to use it, and it became usable when configured as you advised.
