The SSL connection could not be established, see inner exception: System.IO.IOException: Received an unexpected EOF or 0 bytes from the transport stream

Issue description:

The SSL connection could not be established, see inner exception:
System.IO.IOException: Received an unexpected EOF or 0 bytes from the transport stream

Resolution:

Ideally, this issue occurs due to a handshake issue. The SSL that is used doesn't line up with what the robot is using. This causes the SSL stream to be sent back empty which triggers the message "Received an unexpected EOF or 0 bytes from the transport stream".

Kindly ensure the below:

  • Ensure the Robot server satisfies the minimum H/W and S/W requirements. (Mainly .NET version 4.6 or higher)
  • Ensure TLSv1.2 is enabled.
  • Ensure the certificate is valid and trusted. If you're using a self-signed certificate, install it in the robot's trusted store.
