The OOB_UPLOAD Tenant role does not play any role now?

After the deprecation of custom ZIP model uploads the OOB_UPLOAD permision is of no use? is there an intent of retrieving custom model deployment in the future or should we do that outside?

As of now, there is no indication in the documentation that custom model deployment will be reintroduced. You may consider using GenAI Activities, Communications Mining, or hosting and managing custom models outside of AI Center, depending on your use case.
