The machine key is linked to another machine!

I’m frustrated about this problem.
suddenly, Studio login is denied, and got this message “the machine key is linked to another machine”
My Orchestrator’s environment is local, not a cloud.
Can’t resolve it…
Tried adding a new machine and used a new machine key, however the same situation.

Can you check in orchestrator->Robots, Is there any other duplicate robot exists with the same? Is so you can copy that Machine key and try it

Hope this helps you

Thanks

Hi,

Please ensure the machine key used to connect the Robot from the Robot tray of the current machine is the same as the one associated with this machine in the Orchestrator.

Use Machine template instead of standard machine it will work

Yes it will work but whats the reason that it is not working with standard machine even when there is no duplicacy of robots of any kind

Reproduction steps:

  1. Access Orchestrator → Tenant → Machines. Create a standard machine that will have a Machine Name different than the machine user is using at the moment (Ex: DESKTOP…,/LAPTOP…)
  2. Try to connect to the UiPath Assistant via the new Machine Key.

Cause:

More information about this situation: Machine Standard needs a valid Machine Name to connect to. The Machine Template will connect to the default machine.

Solution:

In this situation, the user is connected via a machine key that is not linked to the introduced machine name, or vice versa → It can be an incorrect machine key/machine name. The only solution is to verify again the information by checking the needed data in the Orchestrator → Tenant → Machines with what was added in the Assistant
